World-renowned Satsuki (Azalea) Bonsai Master to Teach History and Art of Bonsai.
Satsuki Azaleas, a cultivar group extensively cultivated in Japan, boast an incredible diversity of flower forms and color patterns, often appearing on a single plant. These beautiful azaleas bloom from May to June and include thousands of varieties like Chinzan, Kaho, and Hakurei.
Master Suisho Nakayama, born in Yamato Takata, Nara Prefecture, Japan, dedicated his life to Satsuki Bonsai, a field he chose at just 16.
His lifelong passion for Satsuki Azaleas led him to roles as Executive Director of the Japan Satsuki Association, Director of the Western Japan Satsuki Research Institute, and Master/Lecturer of the Japan Bonsai Association. He has traveled the world sharing his extensive knowledge and teachings.
